Owner and investigator, Michael Buras, brings with him over thirty years of law enforcement experience as a police officer/detective with a large police department in Louisiana. He was an investigator with the homicide traffic unit for over ten years as well as crash reconstruction for over fifteen years. Michael has also served as a DWI investigator for over fifteen years.
Michael has investigated over 5,000 crash scenes, over 100 death scenes, over 300 driving impaired cases, and over 500 traffic accidents including 100 fatal and life threatening crashes. Michael has performed detailed traffic crash reconstructions in numerous traffic cases.
Michael studied accident automotive engineering at Louisiana State University where he received a BA degree. Michael furthered his education at Northwestern University in Evenston, Illinois where he received another BS for forensic engineering/accident reconstruction.
Michael completed over 2000 hours of specialized law enforcement training from the New Orleans Police Department and Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Office.
Michael has spent several hours in testifying in motion hearings, in depositions, and in driving impairment hearings. Michael has provided expert-level deposition testimonies in the area of traffic accident reconstruction cases.
Michael will use all of his experience in traffic accident reconstruction and the latest reconstruction software to provide detailed and expert investigation starting from the initial contact and through the final court process.
